Dark chocolate, dried fruit, and a deep, earthy finish from the highlands of Sumatra.
Artisan Grove's Sumatra Single Origin Coffee comes from the Koperasi Baitul Qiradh Baburrayyan (KBQB) cooperative in Takengon, Aceh, grown at elevations between 1,100 and 1,600 meters.
It is processed by Giling Basah, the wet-hulling method traditional to Sumatra, which gives the coffee its syrupy body and earthy depth. Expect medium acidity, dark chocolate and dried fruit, and a long, lingering finish.
Roasted Fresh for Your Order
Your coffee isn't pulled from a warehouse shelf. It's roasted in small batches after you order.
- Whole bean: roasted the same day it ships, so the date on your shipping confirmation email is your roast date. Freshly roasted beans keep releasing natural gases, and our roaster finds they reach their best flavor about 10 to 14 days after roasting. You can brew as soon as your bag arrives, and it will keep getting better over the next week or so.
- Ground: roasted and ground the day before it ships, then rested before it's sealed. With 1 to 5 days in transit, it arrives ready to brew.
You won't find a roast date printed on the bag, so keep your shipping email as your freshness record.
