Coffee FAQ
Answers to the questions we hear most about Artisan Grove coffee: when it's roasted, how fresh it is when it arrives, and what to expect in your order.
When was my coffee roasted?
Your coffee is roasted in small batches after you order. Whole bean coffee is roasted the same day it ships, so the date on your shipping confirmation email is your roast date. Ground coffee is roasted and ground the day before it ships.
Why isn't there a roast date on the bag?
Our bags don't carry a printed roast date. Because every order is roasted fresh, your shipping confirmation email is your freshness record. Keep it, and you'll always know when your coffee was roasted.
When will my whole bean coffee taste its best?
Freshly roasted beans keep releasing natural gases for several days. Our roaster finds whole bean coffee reaches its best flavor about 10 to 14 days after roasting. You can brew as soon as your bag arrives, and it will keep getting better over the next week or so.
Is ground coffee still fresh when it arrives?
Yes. Ground coffee is roasted and ground the day before it ships, then rested before it's sealed. With 1 to 5 days in transit, it arrives ready to brew.
Who roasts Artisan Grove coffee?
Every bag is roasted to order by our family-owned roasting partner. Nothing is stocked on a warehouse shelf.
What sizes and grinds do you offer?
Most of our coffees come in 12 oz, 1 lb and 2 lb bags. You can choose whole bean, or have it ground standard, coarse or espresso.
What comes in a coffee sample pack?
Each sample pack holds six individually packaged 2 oz bags of ground coffee, about 4 to 6 cups per bag. They are roasted to order like our full-size bags, so they arrive ready to brew.
How are your flavored coffees flavored?
Our flavored coffees are made with coffee and natural flavorings.
How long does shipping take, and what does it cost?
Coffee always ships free. Orders are typically 1 to 5 days in transit once they ship.
